BIOGRAPHY
Elizabeth is an Atlanta based costume designer, photographer, educator, and social media specialist. Elizabeth attended Berry College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in costume design. For her graduate work she attended The University of Florida and received a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Costume Design.
Elizabeth currently is the social media specialist for fabric.com, an Amazon Company. Previous roles include her position as an Assistant Professor of Costume Design at Kennesaw State University, where she was a faculty member for ten years. Elizabeth taught such classes as Costume Design, Visual Imagination (Introduction to Design), Production 1, Production 2, Advanced Production, Stage Craft, Period Styles, The Theatre Experience, and The Costume Design Assistant. She has also taught at Berry College and as a graduate assistant at the University of Florida. Elizabeth has worked as the Costume Design Assistant/ Buyer at the Tony Award winning Alliance Theatre and at Georgia Tech as the costume design teacher at the Ferst Center for the Arts Drama Camp. Elizabeth is currently an Associate Artist with Actor's Express.
Elizabeth has designed for Synchronicity Theatre, Horizon Theatre, Theatre in the Square, Kennesaw State University, Brenau University, Actor's Express, Shakespeare Kennesaw, Theatrical Outfit, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Aurora Theatre, The Alliance Theatre Education and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to her theatrical designs, Elizabeth is the proud co-owner and designer of J&R Santaprises, a bespoke Santa suit company. It serves national and international Santas and Mrs. Clauses.
Elizabeth has been nominated for multiple Suzi Bass Awards, Atlanta Broadway World awards, and won the 2013 Atlanta Theatre Fans for Best Costume Design for Kiss of the Spider Women and the 2018 Suzi Bass Award for Best Costume Design for Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley
